Standen have invited me to create an exhibition of my sculptures all inspired by the beautiful Arts and Crafts designs in the house and the nature found in the gardens.

I spoke to the gardeners about wildlife and spent time in the grounds recording and identifying the birds, then incorporated designs from the ceramics, wallpaper and textiles in the house into the sculpture designs. Visit my instagram or facebook to see the sculptures all being created.

Delivery is not included in the price, customers are encouraged to collect from Alisons Studio in Shere (GU95QQ) or ask for a delivery quote.

Unique pieces and the 1st piece in each edition will be available from 3rd July. Subsequent editions will take approx. 8-10 weeks. Sculptures can not be removed from the exhibition before the end of the show.

Inspiration: I wanted to make a "showpiece" for the exhibition, and heard about the "peacock and the dragon" design when I toured the house. Then talking to one of the gardeners I heard that they had had a visiting peacock family (baby peacocks! there are photos on the official Standen instagram page).

Inspiration: Magpies are one of the birds I recorded in the garden (and you have to make at least 2), the tree is based on a design on a water jug I found in one of the dressing rooms in the house.
